Friends of Chancel

At Chancel we are very lucky to be situated within such a supportive community. Below are just some of the local businesses who have offered us their help and support.
Estate signs and print

Our pupils have forged strong links with the residents at Lanrick House. Both older people and children can get so much out of a relationship with each other; boosting children’s self-esteem, broadening their world view and improving empathy and understanding of others. Equally, feeling part of the community is very much key to the quality of life for people living in care homes and intergenerational work helps make this happen. We’ve seen so much joy, fun and energy in all our partnership projects.

Estate signs and print

We would like to thank Estate Signs & Print, a local Rugeley company, for their continued support for our school; this company has donated several eye-catching signs and learning prompts, helping to maintain Chancel’s learning environment.

Amazon

We have very strong links with local supermarkets and regularly participate in any school projects that they organise.

Morrisons and Sainsburys
Pets-as-therapy

Sev Izmir Turkish school:
In 1997, SEV Primary school was founded to provide a quality primary level education in grades K-8. SEV Izmir has two sister schools in Turkey: Üskudar SEV in Istanbul and Tarsus SEV in Tarsus, in southeastern Turkey.

Chancel has partnered with Sev Izmir Turkish school.

Woodland-trust

The Woodland Trust have very kindly donated 200 trees to our school. The children had great fun planting the trees around the school site and can enjoy watching them grow for many years to come.

Hart-school

We link very closely with the local high school in Rugeley and pride ourselves on being part of an educational network. This ensures there is a smooth transition for our pupils, when moving to their local High School; enabling staff to share in pupils’ progress, attainment and successes.

Foodbank

Throughout the year Chancel collects much needed supplies for Rugeley Food Bank to help families in need; through the collection box located in our Office Lobby. Pupils from Chancel regularly visit Rugeley Food Bank, in order to find out more about the hard work undertaken by volunteers, in support of those in need. Each autumn term, we invite Rugeley Food Bank to join us during our Harvest Service, when we share some of the wonderful donations received from Chancel families, with them.

St Thomas' College
St Thomas' College

We have developed close links with this school in Sri Lanka and staff have taken part in a cultural exchange.

Other community links involve supporting Rugeley Sheltered Housing Society and Rugeley Blind and Partially Sighted Residents, in our efforts to ‘Develop the citizens of tomorrow, through the best education of today.’
