The school staff work within the statutory requirements of the National Curriculum and the Early Years Foundation Stage aim to provide the very best education for the children in their care. The school welcomes support and expertise offered by county inspectors, advisory teachers, educational support services, governors, parents, members of the local community and outside agencies.
The National Curriculum is statutory and requires the school to teach core subjects - English, Maths, Science and Computing, and foundation subjects - Design Technology, Geography, History, Music, Physical Education and Art.
The subjects are taught through themes and topics reflecting the interest, imagination and maturity of the children.
We see our school as a centre for learning for all who are involved in it - not just the children, but all the staff, parents and carers who are a part of our school community.
We have mapped out the curriculum coverage showing what will be taught and when it will be taught. Click on the links below to view the curriculum coverage for each subject area. Please note that as Art and Computing are predominantly skill based and so will be delivered in relation to the most appropriate topic.
